Chinese Deep Tissue therapy, simply put, is a technique
which realigns the deepest levels of your musculature
and its connective tissue or fascia and... more
specifically-the individual muscle strands. It is a perfect technique for individuals who are continually overly stressed, experience consistent pain, are involved in heavy physical activity, such as athletes, and people who have sustained physical injury.
When these conditions are ignored... adhesions often occur. Adhesions are painful bands of stuck together tissue which form in the muscles, ligaments and tendons... which can block blood circulation - causing worsening pain, restricting movement and creating inflammation.
Using a combination of the hands, fingertips, elbows and forearms, for deep compression and friction along the grain of the muscle, the therapist opens up the fibers of the muscles and releases both toxins and deeply held tension points. Specific positions and strokes are used to release muscular congestion... which get blood and oxygen circulating properly. This technique is both corrective and therapeutic... and used on a regular basis, Deep Tissue therapy provides relief from pain and helps to restore mobility and vitality.
For those who are interested in our deep tissue massage, it is recommended that you also consider our Cai Bei massage. Cai Bei is a traditional Chinese technique where the massage therapist walks on your back!
